About The Final Fit

Built on experience. Driven by attention to detail.

The Final Fit wasn’t created simply to offer another wedding-day service. It was created from eight years of hands-on experience within the formalwear and suit industry, working directly with hundreds of brides, grooms and wedding parties in the lead-up to one of the biggest days of their lives.

Over those years, I’ve fitted, styled and dressed thousands of men for weddings, formals and special occasions. That experience has given me an in-depth understanding of how a suit should fit, how it should be tailored and, importantly, how it should actually be worn and presented.

I’m extremely particular when it comes to the details. The length of a trouser. The position of a waistcoat. The amount of shirt cuff showing beneath a jacket sleeve. The tie knot, pocket square, buttonhole and overall balance of the outfit. These may seem like small details individually, but together they completely change the finished look — particularly in wedding photographs that will last a lifetime.

Why I started The Final Fit

Throughout my years working with wedding parties, I noticed the same thing time and time again.

A huge amount of care goes into choosing, fitting and tailoring the suits in the weeks and months before a wedding — but on the actual morning, the groom and groomsmen are often left to put everything together themselves.

That can mean creased shirts, incorrectly fitted buttonholes, poorly positioned ties and pocket squares, waistcoats sitting incorrectly, jacket sleeves covering too much shirt cuff, or simply a room full of lads trying to work out who knows how everything is supposed to go.

That is where The Final Fit comes in.

I wanted to take the knowledge and experience I’ve built within the industry and bring it directly to the wedding morning.

I arrive at your chosen location with the professional equipment required to prepare the wedding party, organise everything and take care of the details. Each member of the party is then dressed and styled individually, with every element checked before anyone leaves.

But the service is about more than how everyone looks. It’s about convenience and peace of mind.

The groom shouldn’t have to spend his wedding morning worrying about whether everyone’s suit is sitting correctly or whether somebody knows how to fit a buttonhole. He should be able to relax with his family and friends, enjoy the build-up and know that someone experienced is taking care of it.

Experience matters

When you book The Final Fit, you’re not simply booking somebody to help you get dressed.

You’re booking years of formalwear experience, knowledge of fit and tailoring, professional preparation and an eye for the details that can easily be missed.

I know what I’m looking for because I’ve spent years doing it.

My standard is simple: before the groom and his wedding party leave, every man should look exactly how he should.

Questions

The things couples ask first.

Does it matter where the suits come from?
Not at all. Whether you’re hiring from a shop, buying outright, or mixing and matching across the group, it makes no difference to me — I’ll work with whatever your party turns up in on the day.
What if something doesn’t fit?
This is why every suit needs to be tried on a few days before the wedding, not on the morning itself — it’s part of the booking agreement. That gives enough time to sort any alterations with your retailer, so by the time I arrive, all I need to do is make it sit perfectly for photos.
What time will you arrive?
Around two hours before your photographer. Send me their arrival time once it’s booked and I’ll work the whole morning back from it.
Do you travel outside Derry?
Yes. Donegal, Tyrone, Antrim, Down, Fermanagh and beyond. If there’s nobody near you doing this, that’s exactly the call I want.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. I take one wedding a morning, so Saturdays in summer go early.
