What happens to the details you send us, in plain English.

Who we are

The Final Fit is a wedding morning suit service based in Derry ~ Londonderry, Northern Ireland. We decide how the information you send through this website is used, which under UK data protection law makes us the data controller for it.

If you want to talk to us about anything on this page, email raymond@thefinalfit.co.uk or message us on TikTok.

What we collect, and when

Only what you type into one of the two forms on this site. We don't buy lists, we don't track you around the web, and there is nothing hidden collecting information in the background.

The enquiry form

Your name, phone number, email address, wedding date, where the wedding is, how many are in the party, whether the suits are hired or bought, and anything you write in the notes.

The booking form

The same, plus the address where the party is getting ready, the time you need us there, the size of the party, the agreed price, and the name and date you type to confirm the booking terms.

Both forms record the time they were submitted. Neither asks for payment details, and no payment is ever taken through this website.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare for your wedding morning. Where you have booked, this is necessary to carry out our agreement with you. Where you have only enquired, it is our legitimate interest in replying to someone who has asked us a question.
  • To keep a record of the booking — what was agreed, when, and for how much — in case there is ever a question about it later. That is our legitimate interest in keeping proper business records, and in some cases a legal obligation.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we will not add you to any mailing list.

Who else sees it

Only the services we need to run the business, and only so they can do the job we use them for. None of them are allowed to use your details for anything of their own.

  • Make (make.com) receives the form and turns it into an email. Data may be processed in the EU or the US under standard contractual clauses.
  • Our email provider delivers the confirmation to you and the notification to us.
  • Our website host serves these pages and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Google Fonts serves the two typefaces this site uses. Loading them means your browser contacts Google's servers, which involves your IP address. No cookie is set and nothing else is shared.

We will never sell your details. We would only hand them to anyone else if the law required it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Bookings: for six years after the wedding, which is how long business and tax records generally need to be kept.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

One thing is stored in your own browser: if you switch the site between light and dark, that choice is remembered on your device so the page doesn't flip back next time. It never leaves your browser and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can object to us holding it at all. Just ask — email us at the address above and we will deal with it within one month.

If you think we've handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

Children

This service is for adults arranging a wedding. We don't knowingly collect anything about children through this site.
